Which survey do I need?

The general condition of the property tends to dictate which survey would be most suitable; a RICS Level 2 Survey is best suited to conventional houses that are in a reasonable condition, while a RICS Level 3 Survey is recommended for properties that are unusual, run-down, or have been altered in the past. A Level 3 Survey is also the best option if you have plans for specific alterations.


What's the difference between a Level 2 and a Level 3 Survey?

Put simply, it is the information you will receive about the remedy for any problems found during the inspection. A Level 2 Survey will offer guidance on repairs and maintenance, whereas a Level 3 Survey will provide detailed advice on the remedy options for each specific issue.
